Augusta County Office of Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE-Augusta)

VCE connects Virginia’s land-grant universities with communities to provide evidence-based resources that promote safe, healthy, and resilient communities.  VCE-Augusta serves Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro by delivering research-based education from Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.

Programs and Services

4-H Youth Development: Augusta County has a strong 4-H youth program.  With a strong in-school program and over a dozen clubs and competition teams, 4-H helps youth build skills and reach their full potential. 

Agriculture & Natural Resources: Agriculture remains Augusta County’s #1 industry, ranking second in the state of Virginia in value of agricultural products sold.  Agriculture Agents provide information to residents and producers on commercial agriculture, land management, gardening, and forestry. 

 

July 4th Holiday Observance

The Government Center and all offices will be closed on Monday, July 5.

The Government Center and all Augusta County offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2021, in observance of the July 4th holiday. 

The Augusta Regional Landfill and convenience sites, the Augusta County Library, and Shenandoah Valley Social Services will also be closed on July 5.
