SUMMARY:Richmond Road Multimodal Corridor Study
DESCRIPTION:
The Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission (PDC) has been working with the VA Department of Transportation (VDOT), the City of Staunton and Augusta County on a longterm plan for a 3.6 mile stretch of Route 250 from Greenville Avenue to Desper Hollow Road, east of I-81. The study identifies a host of transportation improvements -- from sidewalks and bike routes to intersection improvements and transit services -- that would support future development. This open house is the culmination of a sixteen month planning process and provides an opportunity for business owners, community leaders, and other members of the public to review and comment on the draft plan before it is finalized. The meeting will take place on October 15, 2009, at the Augusta County Government Center. There will be a public open house at 6 PM, followed by a presentation to the City of Staunton and Augusta County officials at 7 PM. The meeting is open to everyone; please call 540-885-5174 if you have questions or visit the PDC website, www.cspdc.org, for more information about the project.

Open House Flyer

Minutes
